For an exciting night out with friends, The POUND! Bar and Grill provides a lively atmosphere and the perfect spot to watch a Michigan State game or other sporting events. They are known for their fantastic walleye sandwich and beer-battered fries that you can enjoy while sitting on the rooftop deck or in the industrial dining area with an eclectic mix of décor.

The recreation area includes numerous hiking, biking, and walking trails, allowing horse riding as well. In addition, the multiple lakes are great for swimming, fishing, and boating. The park also offers various types of camping spots, including rustic cabins.

Another local favorite is the Mt. Brighton Ski Resort. Winters in Michigan are a time to play, and skiing is a large part of the culture. Along with skiing, Brighton residents enjoy the many amenities here, with multiple dining options and retail shops. The resort also offers ski lessons. During the off-season, areas of the resort are available to rent for weddings and other events.

Summer brings outdoor entertainment and festivals to the Brighton area, and locals enjoy going out on the town. A Taste of Brighton is a local festival celebrating everything the city offers. Attendees can experience food from local restaurants while browsing products from retail shops in the area. The event includes bounce houses, a rock wall, and other kid-focused activities. In addition, there is live music and street entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

The July 4th Parade is another local favorite. Residents enjoy coming together to celebrate the birth of a nation. Watching classic cars, floats, marching bands, fire trucks, and other entertainment strolling down the street is a perfect way to spend the afternoon leading up to a fireworks display at dusk. You’ll want to get up early so you don’t miss the 4th of July pancake feed at the fire station.
